Spin Batting Coaching

Junior coaches Tony Robson and Alex Young attended "Scoring Runs", a workshop for coaches exploring batting and coaching spin batting. It was run by former Durham player, and current Head Coach of the Birmingham Phoenix Women's Team, Alistair Maiden.
There were some great ideas and presentation from Ali, often viewed through a lens of challenging "traditional" coaching paradigms, and focussed on achieving better batting outcomes. This was coupled with some practical activities to demonstrate how specific batter issues might be worked on with targeted practice.
An interesting and enjoyable way to spend a cold January Saturday - and definitely some take-aways to bring to coaching at Percy Main this year.
